Data Quality Management System (DQMS)

DQE's bespoke Data Quality Management System (DQMS) has been designed and built to support our Data Quality Project methodology. Its rich toolkit provides functionality to categorise, manage and audit the resolution of Data Quality issues.

DQMS is a flexible and modular framework, with the functionality and capacity to support the most challenging of Data Quality projects. It takes data from a variety of source systems, searching and tracking instances of Data Quality issues and their resolution.

DQMS meets four standard requirements of Data Quality improvement systems:

Data profiling -assessment and quantification of Data Quality;
Standardisation -ensuring that data conforms to quality rules;
Matching / Linking -comparing data to align similar records; and
Monitoring -keeping track of Data Quality over time, reporting variation.

The DQMS Solution

The DQMS Issue Categoriser is an audited framework containing user-created DQ filters -they identify DQ problems;

The DQMS Resolution Processors (managed by the Resolution Director) are a collection of tools that are used to format and fix the DQ problems identified by the Categorisers;

The DQMS Escalation Processor enables users to define escalation points and associated actions;

The DQMS Management Reporting suite enables users to create a variety of Management Reports and Charts based on the Issue Categoriser datasets; and

The DQMS System Manager controls administrative aspects of DQMS including the user defined scheduler for the Categorisers enabling unattended operation.
